Welcome Justin Thompson, MD, to Stanford Medicine Women’s Health — Palo Alto

Stanford Medicine Women’s Health — Palo Alto, led by Jagdip Powar, MD, was the first practice to join the Stanford Medicine Children’s Health network in 2012. The group’s legacy of providing excellent care to women throughout the Peninsula exemplifies the dedication and commitment to Bay Area families that the Stanford Medicine Children’s Health network is known for. For more than 30 years, Dr. Powar has served as a highly respected medical doctor in Palo Alto, focusing on women’s health, and has delivered thousands of babies to families in the South Bay and beyond.

On September 1, Justin Thompson, MD,  joined the team at Stanford Medicine Women’s Health — Palo Alto. Dr. Thompson attended medical school at Drexel University College of Medicine and moved west to complete his obstetrics and gynecology residency at Stanford University Medical Center. He feels grateful to be working at a small practice where he can provide individualized care to his patients.

“Joining Dr. Powar and Dr. Kharsa is my dream job,” said Dr. Thompson. “It’s a special opportunity to care for patients on a very personal level. Being part of a small group practice maximizes the likelihood that I’ll be there when my patients need me. In addition, our affiliation with Stanford means I have access to all the amazing resources that Stanford has to offer our patients.”
