New Menlo Park location now open

Now Open! We are pleased to announce Peninsula Pediatric Medical Group has opened a third location, offering another option for families looking for a pediatrician on the peninsula. As part of the Stanford Medicine Children’s Health network, this location will deliver the same high-quality pediatric care as the Burlingame and San Mateo offices.

“We are very excited to have our new office so close to Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford, one of the best children’s hospital in the world,” said Jennifer Kaufman, MD, who will move to the new location from San Mateo, where she has worked as a pediatrician for the past 17 years.

Geoffrey Hart-Cooper, MD, and Ambreen Syed, MD, will join Dr. Kaufman at the practice, where they will offer general pediatric care to patients ranging in age from newborns to late teens. The new space has been completely renovated to tailor it to the needs of patients and families.

“We worked closely with an architect to design the space so that it is welcoming and family- and child-friendly,” Dr. Kaufman said. “We wanted an inviting space that didn’t feel too clinical, and I think we accomplished that with the colors, artwork and furniture we picked out.”

Going forward, Dr. Kaufman also wants to create a space where parents can gather for parenting support groups that cover topics ranging from chronic illness to child development stages.

“I feel like it’s my job to not only take care of children but to also make sure parents’ needs are met,” said Kaufman, who received the 2016/2017 Stanford Medicine Children’s Health Clinical Excellence award for primary care. “As a mom and a pediatrician, my approach is to provide parent-tested medical advice. Parents and children thrive when they know they have a strong network supporting them.”

Peninsula Pediatric Medical Group’s office is located at 103 Gilbert Avenue in Menlo Park.
